Remote instruction increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 forced school-based agricultural education (SBAE) teachers, who use hands-on learning, to change their jobs. SBAE teachers had to balance new life stresses, obligations, and routines with changing work roles. This study examined SBAE teachers’ changing roles before and during COVID-19.
Highlights:
- Teachers who have to care for their own homes and children have been especially hard by the pandemic.
- SBAE teachers must protect the resource of time to feel happier and less stressed in their roles.
- SBAE teachers experience moderate to high levels of psychological strain and WFC.
